The history of Wilsey Tool Company, Inc. is a familiar story of success.
William and Margaret Wilsey founded the company in 1966 in the basement
of their home. Wilsey Tool Company, Inc. started out as a simple tool
grinding and sharpening business, but growth and expansion were in the not too distant future. The company quickly outgrew the modest beginnings,
and in 1976 moved to the present location at 140 Penn Am Drive, in Quakertown,
Pennsylvania, and purchased the first Wire EDM machine. This technology was
leading edge, and allowed Wilsey Tool Company, Inc. to expand in both vertical
and horizontal directions.
Soon after, we outgrew the original floor plan,
and expanded our building in 1981. During this expansion, additional EDM
and other Milling equipment purchased even further expanded our capabilities.
As these capabilities and services grew, we continued to outgrow our floor
space, and expanded the building again in 1985.
In 1987, William and Margaret
Wilsey decided to retire from the company, and youngest son Timothy Wilsey took
over control of the company, and is still the company's President today.
Timothy Wilsey's dream of his father's vision was even greater, and the company expanded
two more times in 1991, and again in 1996 to the point the current property was
completely developed. Again further adding equipment and capabilities to the company
during both of these expansions. The dream continued to grow, and in 1999 we broke
ground on our second location which is located directly across the street at 145 Penn
Am Drive.
During this expansion, we added additional equipment again; along with offering "turn-key" solutions to our customers by adding Laser Marking and Non-Sterile
Packaging capabilities in a state-of the-art Class 100,000 Clean Room.
The future of
Wilsey Tool Company, Inc. is a very bright one, with even further expansions on the
drawing board, and continually adding additional equipment to service our customers' requirements. We will continue to strive to supply our customers with a "Single Source Solution"
to their precision component requirements, and will continue meeting and exceeding our customers' expectations.
